If you have a slow or stopped up sewer line or drain, we understand that you need the problem resolved quickly. Since 1977, local, family-owned Orange Coast Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning has been the premiere plumber for sewer and drain repair in Orange County.

Signs of Drain Problems

A slow draining pipe is often the first clue that you have a clogged drain.

But there are other signs as well, including:

  • Gurgling or bubbling sounds coming from a toilet, sink, or tub
  • Flooding or leaks anywhere else in the home or building
  • Foul odor coming from drain pipes

The cause of a clogged drain could be a buildup of grease, food waste, or a foreign object. Hair is a common for clogs in bathroom drains, while tree roots could affect your sewer line. If the problem causing a clogged drain does not exist at the drain or within the pipes, the problem could be in the sewer line itself.

What Happens When Drains Aren’t Cleared?

Left unfixed, a clogged drain can overflow, allowing water to cover your floor and seep into your floorboards and carpet, causing the wood in the structure to rot, undermining its stability and creating costly repairs. Water can also threaten the electrical system, creating the potential for a short, or even a fire.

Drain and Sewer Repairs

There are a few home remedies you can try in order to unclog a drain, but we’d recommend stopping after using the plunger. Most chemical drain cleaners are made of harsh toxins that are terrible for the environment, and can also be corrosive, causing damage to your plumbing fixtures, pipes, and even your clothing or skin. And they may not work. Plumbing snakes are great inventions, but they can be dangerous in the hands of someone without the right training and experience.

The experts at Orange Coast Plumbing know several tactics and techniques to solve any and every drain and sewer clog.

Sewer Line Power Rooters

A traditional power rooter uses a sharp, flexible cable that slides down the drain to the clog. When we turn on the rooter, the cable whips around at high speeds, cutting through the roots and other debris. In most cases, using a power rooter on sewer lines is a temporary fix. It trims the roots to clear the clog, but those roots will grow back unless further action is taken to mitigate their encroachment.

Sewer Line Video Inspection

Our trained experts use the very best diagnostic video inspection tools to examine your sewer line and identify the area that needs help. With our high-resolution sewer camera, we run a cable all the way down your drains and into the sewer line to determine the cause of the problem. This can save you time and money by cutting out the guess work in diagnosis giving you peace of mind before and after the repair.

Trenchless Sewer Repair

In many cases, cured-in-place-piping is the best option if your sewer line has too many cracks or holes. We give your sewer line a thorough cleaning, and then coat the interior of the pipe with resin. After the coating is applied, we force compressed air into the pipe, pushing the resin into the many cracks and holes, creating an air-tight seal that no roots can enter. The result is a new, smooth sewer pipe inside the old one.

Hydro-Jetting

The hydro-jet blasts highly-pressurized water down the sewer line. Once inserted into the sewer line, our hydro-jet will remove most waste, blockages, or debris by freeing it from the inside of the pipe and forcing it down into the municipal line.

Chemical Treatments

Although we do not recommend using chemicals to clear clogs or kill roots, there are instances when chemicals can be very practical. Orange Coast Plumbing makes use of a few such cleaners, and we know exactly how to use them, so as not to damage your plumbing or harm the environment.

Sewer Line Replacement

If your sewer line is cracked to the point where resin cannot be applied, or if it has collapsed, then the only solution may be to repipe the line.
